Donor Advised Funds

Nonprofit Agency Fund or Endowment

A donor-advised fund is like a charitable investment account, for the sole purpose of supporting charitable organizations you care about. When you contribute cash, securities or other assets to a donor-advised fund at the community foundation, you are generally eligible to take an immediate tax deduction. Then those funds can be invested for tax-free growth and you can recommend grants to IRS-qualified nonprofits.
The nonprofit agency fund and endowment funds are invested and accept cash, securities, or other assets. Nonprofits use the annual return from the fund as a reliable stream of revenue. The principle remains accessible to the nonprofit if non-endowed but is inaccessible if endowed. Both may be established by a nonprofit or an individual for the benefit of a specified nonprofit.

Scholarship Fund

You can help young people in our community further their education. Scholarships may be general or targeted based on your preference. You may also participate in the selection or allow the LCCF selection committee to administer for you.
