The 2026 Avery Shahan Scholarship application is now closed.
The Avery Shahan Scholarship supports graduating Murray High School seniors pursuing their higher education. Awards are up to $2,000.

Burton Banks Scholarship
The Burton Banks Scholarship application deadline is extended to Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
The Burton Banks Scholarship is available to Banks Market employees and family members. The award is up to $1,000.
Scholarship Requirements:
- Must be an employee of Banks Market, or family member of a Banks Markets employee.

Cullen Gream Memorial Scholarship
The 2026 Cullen Gream Memorial Scholarship application is now closed.
The Cullen Gream Memorial Scholarship, funded by friends of the Gream family, will be given to a deserving student who best fits the set criteria. Graduating students from Paducah Tilghman High School are eligible for this scholarship and are encouraged to apply. In memory of Cullen Gream, a former PTHS student.

Fohs Hall, Inc. Scholarship
The 2026 Fohs Hall, Inc. Scholarship application is now closed.
The Fohs Hall, Inc. Scholarship is funded by the Community Foundation of West Kentucky with the earnings of the Fohs Hall, Inc. Endowment.
Students awarded scholarships can earn up to $1,000
Recommended graduating seniors from Crittenden County High School are eligible.
Scholarship Requirements:
- Attend or graduated from Crittenden County High School
- 2.5+ GPA or higher
- ACT composite score of 20+

Graydon Seaton Endowed Scholarship
The 2026 Graydon Seaton Endowed Scholarship Application is now closed.
The Graydon Seaton Endowed Scholarship is funded by the Graydon Seaton Endowment with the Community Foundation of West Kentucky. These scholarships will be granted to students who will be full-time students in an institution of higher education. Awards are renewable four-year scholarships, up to $8,000 total ($2,000 per school year) for students maintaining full-time enrollment and a 2.5 GPA.

Grimmer-Weitzel Memorial Scholarship for Women in Medicine
The 2026 Grimmer Weitzel Memorial Scholarship application is now closed.
The Community Foundation of West Kentucky is proud to administer the Patricia Grimmer Weitzel Scholarship for Women in Medicine. This scholarship was established to assist young female students interested in pursuing a medical career.
Mrs. Weitzel was a proponent of education, as a professor, serving as a Department Chair and as an attorney for the Florida State Child Support Environment. Mrs. Weitzel was the first female to receive an MBA at the University of Kentucky. The scholarship is approximately $1,500.00.
Scholarship Requirements:
- Attend a Region One High School
- Be a young female interested in pursuing a medical career
- 3.5+ GPA or higher
- ACT composite score of 20+

Nicole Hadley, Jessica James, and Kayce Steger Scholarships
The2026 Nicole Hadley and Kayce Steger scholarship applications are now closed. The 2026 Jessica James Scholarship application has been extended to April 14, 2026.
The Community Foundation of West Kentucky is proud to offer Nicole Hadley, Jessica James, and Kayce Steger Scholarships. All three scholarships are in memory of the lives lost during the 1997 Heath High School shooting.
- Nicole Hadley Scholarship: emphasis given to high academics, sports, organ donor, and/or community service
- Jessica James Scholarship: emphasis given to a band student
- Kayce Steger Scholarship: emphasis given to extracurriculars, first responder/law enforcement activity, and/or community service
Scholarship Requirements:
- Attend McCracken County High School
- Attended Heath Middle School
- 2.5+ GPA or higher
- ACT composite score of 20+

Heflin Agricultural Scholarship
The 2026 Heflin Agricultural Scholarship application is now closed.
This scholarship was established by the Mrs. Fairy “Bobbye” Heflin Trust filed in 2014 and later transferred to the Community Foundation of West Kentucky for proper investment and administration. The funds of the Trust were placed into a permanent endowment with annual disbursements designated to fund educational scholarships. The scholarships awarded from the Heflin Agricultural Scholarship will be in memory of Rob Jones and Tom Heflin.
Students awarded scholarships can earn up to $4,800 ($1,200 per school year/$600 per semester).
Scholarship Requirements:
- Attend Ballard Memorial High School
- Member in good-standing of Future Farmers of America
- Pursue studies in agriculture and intend to pursue a career in agriculture
- 2.5+ GPA or higher
- ACT composite score of 20+

Dr. Clint P. Hill and Jacob V. Hill Memorial Scholarship
The 2026 Dr. Clint P. Hill and Jacob V. Hill Memorial Scholarship is now closed.
The Dr. Clint P. Hill and Jacob V. Hill Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the memory of Dr. Clint P. Hill and his son, Jacob V. Hill. Both are remembered by family and friends as generous, kind, and compassionate individuals who were always ready to help others in times of need.
The fund is designed to support one student in each academic year—Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior—resulting in $10,000 awarded annually across four students.
Students awarded scholarships can earn up to $10,000 ($2,500 per school year/$1,250 per semester).
Scholarship Requirements:
- Attend a Paducah/McCracken County High School
- 2.5+ GPA or higher
- ACT composite score of 20+
- Lost an immediate family member (ex. parent or guardian) AND plan to earn a higher education

J. Darin Loftis Scholarship
The 2026 J. Darin Loftis Scholarship application is now closed.
This scholarship is made in memory of Lt. Darin Loftis, a former Calloway County High School student.
On February 25, 2012, Lt Col J. Darin Loftis, a 1986 graduate of Calloway County High School, and a Special Operations officer with the U.S. Air Force, was shot and killed in Kabul, Afghanistan. Darin was back in Afghanistan for his second tour. Fluent in Pashto, he also spoke Dari, the local languages. His service in the Air Force was highlighted by his search for a different approach to American military presence in Afghanistan. This new perspective involved the military working side-by-side with the Afghan military and police to resolve issues of public safety with respect for religion and tradition.

Paxton Media Group Scholarship
The 2026 Paxton Media Group Scholarship application deadline is April 7, 2026.
The Paxton Media Group Scholarship is an opportunity for the children or grandchildren of current and retired employees of the Paxton Media Group. Awards are offered at $1,000, $2,000 and $2,500.
Scholarship Requirements:
- Child or grandchild of a current Paxton Media Group employee or a retiree of Paxton Media Group
- High School graduate (includes high school seniors at time of application) or currently enrolled student at an accredited post-secondary two or four-year college/university or vocational school, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- GED graduate

Reidland High School Alumni Scholarship
The 2026 Reidland High School Scholarship is now closed.
The Reidland High School Alumni Association offers this scholarship to two graduating seniors of McCracken County High School. Intention is to each year award one scholarship to students attending a vocational school (nursing, labor trade, or business), and one pursuing an academic program at a 2- or 4-year college or university.
Scholarship Requirements:
- Attend McCracken County High School
- Graduate of Reidland Middle School, or live in the Reidland/Farley tax district at time of high school graduation.

Richardson Fund Memorial Scholarship
The Richardson Fund Memorial Scholarship application is open.
The Richardson Fund Memorial Scholarship for Livingston County was established in memory of the donor's mother, grandmother, aunt and his childhood years in Salem. Awards are for 2-year technical or community colleges or a 4-year college program.
Students awarded scholarships may earn up to $12,000 ($3,000 per school year/$1,500 per semester). Awards are renewable 2-year or 4-year scholarships, for students maintaining full-time enrollment and a 3.0 GPA.
Scholarship requirements:

- 2.75 GPA or higher
- ACT composite score of 20 or higher

John E. Robinson Scholarship
The 2026 John E. Robinson Scholarship application is now closed.
The John E. Robinson Scholarship is offered to assist student(s) who completed the highest grade possible in the Lone Oak School System, graduated from McCracken County High School and plan to attend a community college, university, or vocational program after graduation. John was a former Lone Oak High School principal from 1946 to 1967 and is remembered for his love and support of Lone Oak's students and high school. Awards are a maximum of $20,000 spread over four years. ($5,000 per school year/$2,500 per semester).
Scholarship Requirements:
- Attend McCracken County High School
- Attended Lone Oak Middle School
- 2.5+ GPA or higher
- ACT composite score of 20+
- Two letters of recommendation; teacher/counselor AND community member

Lynne and Carolyn Shelbourne Scholarship
The 2026 Lynne and Carolyn Shelbourne Scholarship application is now closed.
The Lynne and Carolyn Shelbourne Scholarship, established in 2024, supports students in their medical school or ARNP program pursuits. This scholarship requires students to return to West Kentucky after completing professional medical or ARNP degree.
Scholarship Requirements:
- Graduate of a high school in McCracken County, Kentucky, or homeschooled in McCracken County
- Finishing an undergradate program and preparing to enter medical school, or an ARNP program for professional degree.
- Agree to requirements in scholarship contract attached in application.

R.L. Sullivan Scholarship
The 2026 R. L. Sullivan Scholarship application is now closed.
The R.L. Sullivan Scholarship, set up by Mr. Reuel L. Sullivan, supports graduating seniors of Hopkins County Central High School in their higher educational journeys. Awards are up to $2,000.
Scholarship Requirements:
- Attend Hopkins County Central High School

The Ed and Marilyn Tilford Endowed Scholarship
The 2026 Ed and Marilyn Tilford Endowed Scholarship application is now closed.
The Ed and Marilyn Tilford Endowed Scholarship is funded by the Community Foundation of West Kentucky with the earnings of the Ed and Marilyn Tilford Endowment.
Students awarded scholarships can earn up to $8,000 ($2,000 per school year/$1,000 per semester).
Recommended graduating seniors from McCracken County High School who would have attended from Heath Middle School are eligible.

Dick and Jan Weaver Vocational Scholarship (Weaver ATC)
The 2026 Weaver ATC Scholarship is now closed.
This scholarship was created to assist Murray-Calloway County students in obtaining the necessary ATC skills necessary for local industry specific jobs. The intent is to improve the skill level of individuals so they can reach the maximum level of achievement within their desired field of employment.

Paul W. Whiteside Memorial Scholarship
The 2026 Paul W. Whiteside Memorial Scholarship is now closed.
The Paul W. Whiteside Memorial Scholarship is open to graduating Marshall County High School seniors. Eligible students must be in the top 50% of their high school graduating class and have participated in a varsity sport at Marshall County High School for at least two years.
Scholarship Requirements:
